Body??

Hey guys, how do I tell what bodies will fit a savage? Is there anything I should look at? I know the obvious, that it should be a 1/8 scale body.....

Take the body set it on the savage and see if it will work. Other than that I have no idea.

thats what i was thinking.. i seen savagesams truck with the truggy body and was curious how he got that to work.

better yet, flip your truck body upside down & measure length x width.

then you can search the web for styles you like that would fit.

After you get your measurements, use Tower Hobbies to do your research. There you can see what's out there and they usually provide the dimensions of the body. I've done that more than once when I was shopping for a new body.

just measure the truck itself. Find out the shortest measurement and the longest measurement that will clear. Thats all I ever do and it always works for me. There is like 2 1/2" difference between shortest and longest measurements that will allow you to use several different bodies. Then I take a tape measure to the hobby stor when I go or if buying online it ussually gives you a millimeter measurement.
