Well I have deceided to build a BL savage. Going to do it out of spare parts and trade for what I don't have.

I will be using a tekin RS ESC running on 3s (Max for the RS) and a LRP x12 17.5 motor. (2200kv) I know it is a tenth scale setup but it will work for what I have planed. Going to use two 3s packs run in series to give me some nice long runtimes.

Truck. Basicly a savage x style truck with parts from both the flux and E-savage.

Don't know What I need still have to go though the "Box O Junk" and see what I have. Know I have a set of 25 tvp's, a flux trans, x bulks and diffs, shocks, arms, and a few other things.

I plan on using that tekno rc bl clutch on it as well. (thanks freddy)

This should provide for some entertainment when out bashing inbetween nitro runs or when I break the nitro.

That's what the 'S' in 6S stands for, series.

the "S" actually means 'series. 1 x 3s pack contains 3 individual LiPo cells wired together in "series" which combines the voltage. So 1 cell = 3.7v & 3s = 3 x 3.7v= 11.1v. When you plug 2 x 3s packs into a Castle MMM ESC, the ESC will run all the cells in series giving you 6 cells in 'series' or 6s. In this case you now have 6 x 3.7v cells = 22.2v :jamout:

Now, when Alex runs his 2 x 3s packs in "parallel," it is the same as running 1 x 3s pack after another and will not increase the voltage. However, it will increase capacity (Mah) and he will get double the amount of run time.

Sorry to jack your thread Alex. How do you get the packs to run in parallel?

One interesting thing is that you can also get packs that have series and parallel cells in the same pack. Like 3S2P for example that increase the voltage and capacity in one pack.
 
Dang that should give you some sweet run times in parallel. As far as the battery types go, it's all in how they are wired just like a hump pack NiMH. They have a certain number of cells in the pack and what determines the ratings is the order of the wiring.
