Big bore vs dual small suspension

I searched on the net to find an answer but I didn't find it, i guss no body had the same😂.
The thing is i got 2 hpi big bore shocks time ago, now I broken one of the 8 shocks and wanted to replace with the big bore I had and give it a try,
1/ where its better to install them, Front or rear?
2/ Can I use 1 big & 1 small together in the front for example 2 normal in the rear or the opposite?
I think they are a bit shorter than normal shocks, so what do you think guys??

You buy the big bore shocks and throw the old small ones in the garbage !!
