Big Bore leak???

so i have yet to ever DRIVE my savy, and 3 of the 4 new big bores are leaking from the bottom.... that normal or something??? I'm using 30k oil.

orings prob dried out a lil. they should put in the instructions to 'lube' them with a lil shock oil before you fill em.

should i take it apart and grease it?? id think with all the OIL that leaked out.... they would be lubed now.....

I would take it apart and reassemble it. The thing I'd look for is torn o-rings from the previous assembly. As you reassemble it, use Green Slime or any lubrication on the shock shaft as you set it in to reduce the risk of tearing o-rings. Even though they could be all lubricated, you always want to make sure.

so i took the shocks apart....... and greases all the seals. so lets hope they stop

Mine did it too. HPI assembles them dry... I pulled them apart wiped all the shafts put a few drops of oil on the lower wiper seal and it has not ever done it again.

lol I'm just playing with you. When you say K we think you mean 1,000, so 35K would be 35,000wt oil. Pretty sure you don't run that in your shocks, so I think you mean 35wt oil.
Right?
