Well after a semi hard 1/2 day of bashing I found that mounting lst2 shocks with a new era kit is a terrible setup! the shock stance is too vertical decreasing your overall stability and it also puts much added pressure on the shaft ends for some reason causing them to break often, not to mention the shock shaft sits at an angle, boo new era!. I broke 1 on a high speed turn and 6 jumping 10-15 footers. here is my fix with pictures. its not for everyone.

From home depot I bought #6-2" grade A machine screws (larger diameter and 10 times stronger than the stock shock mounting bolts), #6 stainless steel washers and 1" aluminum spacers as seen in the picture.

install is fairly simple, since the machine screws are a thicker diameter I needed to bore out the pivot balls, shock bushings, and tower bracket with a 9/64 bit. after that I simply put the bottoms on first with the aluminum spacer between the shock and A arm and screwed it on, the 2" machine screws are great because they go in both mounting holes from front to back of the A-arm giving a stronger hold to the shock as you can see from the under side picture. then I put the tops on as you normally would and good as gold.

the shock stance with the new era kit is 109 degrees and the new stance is 120 degrees (big difference), the truck is much lower as you can see because I used mounting holes under the arms, if I used the top holes the truck would sit higher. Also, with the new setup there is no front to back angle of the shock shaft this is important because the pressure is evenly divided on a landing. the distance out at the top is the same as the bottom. (pressure is evenly distributed)

the downfall is this, the springs are huge and they hit your wheels in the front so you cant really turn, this setup only works if you are using 1" wheel extensions. I won a set on the bay for $6 shipped and am waiting for their arrival so I can test this setup in the harshest way. tell me what you guys think.

Post bigger pictures, I can't even see what's going on in the pics. 800x600 would be great.

none really, you cant mount it to the stock position the spring is too big, the advantage is moving the bottom of the shock further toward the wheel giving your shocks a wider stance, better handling. with the new era kit the bottom of the shock was in close to the a arm and moved more toward the bulkhead to give the needed clearance for the spring. and the top of the shock was further out causing you to break shaft ends, the pressure from the landing was unevenly distributed.

nope had to move the bottom out to get in line with the top, with the 1" aluminum spacer its perfectly in line top to bottom
