bearing came apart from my rear diff

My bearing on one side of my rear differential came apart , does anyone know what would cause this and what kind of grease should rc ers use.???

How many gallons have you had on those bearings? I seem to go through a bearing every gallon or so on the diffs, I don't know if thats alot or not but its fine with me as I get them for cheap.

Ive done the same..try not to drive too long or you cook the pinion..

i agree with the not driving too long but i have never had this problem and I'm on my second engine.

i have just had the problem with blowing a bearing on the rear but the truck is two years old and on its secound maill also. so i would chalk it up to wear and tear. LOL
