hi i`m fromvancouver b.c. i have been bashing and crashing for about 4 mths.i have caught the savage bug and luv it.i have 2 savage x rtrs one stock and the other is semi mod.semi mod has a bent chassis due to pilot error! i clipped a wall at full speed oops !!! so now i need to up grade to new chassis. i was thinking getting fastlane chassis ,but havnt decided on stock or lcg non extended becuase i heard about install issues(spur gear space etc).does this effect bashing height clearance(under middle of chassis) . thanks guys keep on bash`n!!! scotty

not sure about the Fast lane question but, I had a simliar issue with pilot error and bent 2 or 3 sets of stock tvp's before I made the switch to Carbon Fiber.
Most guys go to CF because of the weight savings, I did it for the strength. CF will out perform aluminum all day.

LCG moves the motor and tranny down inside the chassis. It does not lower your over all ride height. That is still set by your suspension components. On a FLM LCG you can fit 19/47 gears with the change of 2 screws. Allot of guys grind the tvp for this bolt clearance but its not necessary. All you need is to replace the right side motor mount cap head screws with button head and it will take all the gearing a savage needs...

great advice here. LCG is the way to go weather bashing or racing.
