So last night I took my engine out (picco .28)

When I turn the flywheel the way it is suppose to turn everything feels normal.

When I turn it the opposite way (the way it shouldn’t turn) it is very stiff all the way around. What could this be?

I’m worried it could be a bad a bearing.

The car is second hand and the picco is an old engine so not sure where I would even get the bearings or what size they are :(

The reason for it being more difficult to turn the engine over the opposite direction is due to the oneway bearing engaging and spinning your rotostart aswell
Perfectly normal

Ah thank you, I figured it out in the end. My roto plate had some sand/dirt inside of it which was making it stiffen up, cleaned it out and it’s back to normal :)

Cheers
