Hey guys. It seems that more and more time I put trying to find the perfect new power plant I find better a better one everyday. Now I went from The Axial 32 to surefire 32 then my hart was set on the Picco .28 yesterday and that was the one till... Just 30 min ago reading the threads on the LRP. looking at the LRP z .28r spec 3 wow does it look fast and powerful. I'v seen lots of vid from Savages on youtube the specs look crazy 3.5+hp? So PLEASE anyone and everyone that owns one please put me at ease is it worth to buy it instead of the axial 32 surefire32 and the picco 28? Oh one last thing can I put the LRP z .28R Truggy in a savage? it claims it has 3.95 hp that cant be true? Cheers!!

The truggy lrp motor needs a bump start which won't work in a savage. Have you got the BUKU? That seems to be the upgrade that gives the huge power. You may as well get the buku and try that first before a new engine as it may give you the power you are looking for if you don't have one already.

If you really want the ultimate power and have money to blow you could go brushless too.

yes everything i've heard about the lrp is positive!! its got tons of power and keeps a tune really well so i've heard!! I'm running the xtm 457 engine which has almost the same specs and actually looks pretty much the same as well!! checkout hobbypeople.net to look at it!! sorry to throw another choice at you but I'm telling the truth the xtm 457 has insane power and i got it running great and haven't touched the needles since!! it sells for $160 and has a claimed hp of 3.8

I have one I am on 5 thank on break in .. pulling some insane power at factory settings .. IN fact I richend the HSN 1/4 turn ..
Also got the buku today .. should be fun playing w/ this sucker
I will keep you posted like I said 5 tank

just get a pullstart version

i could be wrong but i think he has the lrp!! but as i said compare the two and there pretty much the same engine as far as specs and quality

Is the LRP made by assoiated?

Whats wrong with the rotostart on the LRP? I was wanting one butdont think I can pull one?

I have also been looking at this one, looks like a monster of a motor, it is a bit pricey, anybody know anything good or bad about these (other than the price) I cant find the HP rating

That is one of the most powerful engines on the market right now. It is purely a race breed powerplant. I think lifter37 owns one. If you need specs on that engine look here....http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu_COi...6msgq/EXP=1201658638/**http://www.rbmods.net/

YA Lifter has one or 2, and I am running one myself. I just love the engine. I am still playing with gearing trying to "tame" it down enough to keep the front end down, and that is with a HPI purple ribbed pipe.

Thanks, I had seen that and talked to their customer service, they say it is a monster of an engine, waayyy more power than I will ever need.

of course that is the guys selling it.

I will make a thread later, not sure I want to spend that kind of money, but I do get some pretty good cupons from towr from time to time. Really I want to wait till I wear out my current motor but it doesnt hurt to look.

thanks blazer

yeah, the guy that runs hopmeup is a great guy to deal with. ive bought several things off of him with no problem.
as for the LRP, i too will probably be ordering one this weekend.

whats up guys. i have three lrp 28 spec 3 one truggy the only problem i had was the front bearing went only had 8 tanks on it i think it was my fault i got the clutch bell really hot and fly wheel clutch was slipping bad.motor is powerful i can out run my brothers jato i have the mill in the 25 savage. weights about 12 pounds his jato is like 5 pounds we run like 200 feet from the whole on i got him and the wheel in the air half way down the track i have wheely bars that are low to the ground the front can only come up about 5inches thir like drag bars very good mill i paid $207 a piece at my lhs. rember your not going to find to many mills over 4 horsepower or close to it. my 2 cents thats what i had read also i read that the badest mill out now is nova rossi 528 8 port. never had one like to try one or see one run but thats what i read. good luk with your mill. thanks

I Know this sound funny but what does modded mean?

It means it has been ported and polished, Just means it has had work done to it internaly to make it faster more powerful, a lot more in some case's.

I don't have the LRP but I have what I've been told its mirror twin the Dynamite Platinum .28 has to be the Platinum series .28 and I LOVE THIS MOTOR. The power is Insane comes with carb inserts that range from 7.5mm to 9.0mm opening to the throte. with the 9mm insert It shreaded a Losi stlye tire into pieces. The tire just ripped its self apart and flew like 30 feet into the air into the nieghbors yard. I did have a broken front drive line at the time but dude if the LRP is anything like this motor its a BAD @$$
