...are the Bullet Proof diffs black or silver please?

Thanks

The diff case on the Bulletproof diffs are silver. The plastic diff cases on the older units are black.

BP diffs have a silver alloy cup and use large teeth on the ring/pinion gears.

There was a time when there was an alloy cup with standard teeth on the compressed metal gears OR standard teeth on the machined steel gears.

I don't have photo's of the standard compressed metal gears, but here are photo's of the machined standard tooth gears:

And of the XL BP diff gear:

I've had all the variations. The XL BP diffs are by far the toughest/longest lasting diffs I've owned. The first image was before they had the BP diffs and as best as you could do was to buy alloy cases and cups and shim them really well. This would get you decent diff life.

With the BP's in my savage-x, I'm using the stock plastic cases (the case halves the entire diff sits in) and the BP ring/pinion, alloy cup and 4 spiders with 50K oil in them. I'm also using the flux/xl cups/dogbones. So far, out of all the setups I've had, this is the strongest and most durable.
