Great day out here finally, So I'm doing the heat method break in with my Axial .32 really nice mill by the way. Anyway just a quick run down 1st step running at 210F for 3-4min cooling the mill all the way back to 65F repeating this for a total of 15min or so. 2nd step, 215-225F,5-6min,cooling at 65F repeating this for a total of 20min or so also letting it cool down at BDC. The thing with that I have the BUKU and I never touched the high/low speed but my temps easily get to 225 and as high as 245F why so high at factory settings? I mean I'm not running it hard at all just light circles in the parking lot. I can imagine full throttle I`d be up to 320 350F Will this go away in time or does the Axial just run hot. Thanks in advance Cheers!!

I have just broken in an Axial .32 for my truggy. I can't say that I've had the same problems. During break-in, my temps were staying around 180 to 200. Even after break-in , my temps are staying around 230 to 240 after hard running. This is my first Axial mill, so I can't say if what you're experiencing is normal or not.

I would say 245 is a good temp for heat cycling your engine. You should only be running slightly lean, so it will get pretty hot running at slower speeds anyway. Don't be afraid to get it hot, as long as your using a good quality fuel with good lube, it should be fine.

stock settings my .32 spit out raw fuel, and while idling my ifrst tank, it sat at 200, get on the gas more the quarter throttle and it would drop from the rich high end. as long as your getting good performance from it those temps are fine.
also you should seal the motor up just to be sure theres no air leaks

report back if you getting any higher temps while running it in, and if it gets colder the higher the throttle.
