that is more for on roads with insane power. drift cars and such. No need for a savage. its just a gyro

I have heard some people say this helps on dirt as well because basically all it does is counter steer for you depending on the rate at which the car is spinning/rotating (Yaw Control). I have never used it myself though so I can't say for sure. One of the guys in last month's RC mag mentioned using this product for short course trucks and how well it worked but there was a special way to plug it in to get it to work with his electronics. If I can find it again I'll reference you to it.

Tnks Mike. I would love to read it.

It's not in depth, but someone mailed in the question to RC Driver magazine in the August '09 issue (page 18) about using it in a traxxas slash. He says to get it to work he had to power up the truck, then unplug the steering servo from the D-Box for a moment, reconnect the lead, and then keep the truck still for a couple of seconds to allow the electronics to recalibrate.

Seems more trouble than it's worth.

I don't think this would help solve your problem. Pretty sure the truck would flip with or without this product. The problem is based in your traction vs. roll center and the D-box senses rotational forces in the vehicle, if that makes sense. So the D-box would probably counter steer less or stop completely in the moment that your tires hook up because the truck is not drifting/rotating anymore. It might save the occasional roll but it's not going to keep your inside tires on the ground. Taking corners at speed is still going to pick them up.

So basically I would have to lower the center of gravity. But if I go to low I bottom out on jumps. hummmm.

If you go lower you'll probably need stiffer suspension as well to prevent that. Have you ever tried sway bars? I see many people here run them. My truck is stock so I don't have much experience with trying out different products on RC's but I've been into motorsports in general for my whole life so I know the basic concepts for how these things SHOULD work LOL!

I heard that they are good only for the track. Not for bashing. My problem is I was trying to do drifting tricks in between jumps. I'm affraid I will really break something if I run sway bars and come down hard on a bad jump.
