Antenna length

I cut off about 3 inches of my plastic plastic antenna tube on my XS Flux. I did not touch the actual antenna wire. Was that OK to do? I believe the actual antenna is only a couple inches? Thanks

Should be fine. The only thing that affects the signal is the antenna wire in this case. The plastic simply protects it.

I'm not to sure on whats it actually supposed to be. Mine broke right around when I first got it a couple years ago and is now only 2 1/2" to 3" and it's still working the same. At the same time though, if I had a extra laying around I would probably fix it.
