Sup yall...

I wanted to share a little story with you from the past weekends festivities. Just a bit of quick history before I begin...anyone thinking of purchasing a Savage please pay close attention. My friends got me into the RC thing..the Sav was my first exp to the RC circuit. They bought T-Maxx's. When I looked at the T-Maxx I wasn't feelin it. No offense to T-Maxx owners at all but my 400 plus dollars needed a little more gurth then what the Maxx offered. So I found the Savv online and researched it here..etc etc. My friends bragged about how fast the T-Maxx's/Revo 3.3s were and I admit they looked pretty fast when I didn't have anything spectatinnn. LOL So I purchased the Sav and got it running etc etc and they both started to sweat..they could clearly see the power difference and the motor hadn't even been broken in fully. My one friend punked out scared and immediatley ran out and bought an EB Modded OS 1.8 TZ and the proper gearing. The Sav wasn't even broken in yet and he went runninn..LOL So yesterday we finally locked horns...his was just tuned from the Hobby Shop etc etc...I gave him the jump while he was rolling and the I smoked him. The power of the Savy stock is very impressive...Not only did I real him in quick....i beat him by almost 3 trucks..LOOOOOL I actually didn't think i was going to beat him with all that work done...but I did....

You CANNOT beat the value a savage brings to the table especially when they are priced around the same as a T-Maxx. I mean size aloneeee is no comparison. I'm really glad I bought the Sav and just wanted to say thanks again to everyone that helped me along with my decision. :resp:

Ohhh...I almost forgot...LOOOOL Does anyone know anyone looking to buy a T-Maxx? LOOOOOOOL My friends is now for sale and I'll have pics in about a week as well as an ebay link.

We're getting another member to the Savage family very shortly. :jamout:

Peece.

Yeppers man. The savage is a beast. And not to mention, it's also about 1500 times as tough as the T-Maxx. I literally have to beat my savage to break it. My friends T-Maxx eats a bulkhead almost every run. It's just the better value there. It's a tough monster, even out of the box!

Great story, love to hear 'em. I take mine down to a BMX track where I'll usually find a couple of Maxx' and Revos (this is Traxxas country).

They always turn their heads when they hear me fire up the Savy. Some of them leave (haha). We've never gone toe to toe, but I have literally jumped over their jump attempt (passing them in the air). They know who's King!... well until a 5B shows up anyways.

I agree with the fact that the Savage is far superior to the Tmaxx, but if your freind couldnt beat a stock Savage with an os powered max, he cant tune an engine. The OS.18 is a powerhouse. Add that to a truck that weighs about half of what a Savage does and the tmaxx will smoke it.

I have both trucks. Like I said the Tmaxx is no where near the basher the Savage is, but its light and fast. Mine has a BB picco.26. The Picco has turned the max into a pile of twisted broken alu and plastic piece by piece. I spent a fortune upgrading to handle the power. $250 in the tranny alone. All RR steel guts. The savage is built to handle big power and big air. Far better then the max.

grumpy...thats what I thought..he was gonna take me...i honestly did...for the exact same reason you said...powerful aftermarket motor on a tonka toy body that doesn't weigh anything...the local hobby store tuned it for him...all I know is...I owned last weekend..and I'm lovinn it..LOOOOOOL and he's depressed sellinn his T-Maxx... I will pass the info on though cuz it should have took me...so we'll see. I'll give him a rematch...not that I care...I'll run over him and shatter his truck into a thousand pieces..LOOOL

And yes..they are not good quality at all..they give you a DvD and all this KRAP with it...real clean looking set up...but he breaks everything...he's practically rebuilt that truck already... Oh well...we'll see what happens.

look grumpy we are in denial and like it.

JUST JOKN WITH YA OF COURSE

the t maxx is fast as heck

SILLY RABBIT TRAXXAS IS FOR KIDS!

Ya, The maxx is fast.but its my least favorite truck. I hate worrying about whats going to break every time I run it. I end up just mildy bashing, not much fun. When I run the Savys, I usually break something too, but its usually something simple and cheap. Its also because I have no mercy on the savys. They get beat 5x harder then the Maxx.

I.ve got a lot of respect for those os.18's though. They make everything fast. The revos and maxxs are fast, but they make the Jatos unreal fast. Now they have the new OS.21. Wow. I know I'm going to put one in the Jato.

I saw a Jato with the OS.18 run and nothing is touching that in its class...so...my friend is taking his Maxx back to the LHS to re-evaluate the situation..so we'll see what happens.
