I've ran my Savage X 4.6 three times. I have had to replace the glow plug mid run every time. Why?
My truck seems to be on a good tune, but after a while it starts acting like its taking too much air and gets loud. I cant correct this issue. Today it happened and I tried adjusting the air and gas slightly down and it died, but if i turn them up it gets louder. If I adjust the idol screw it dies or gets louder.
Now it simply wont start and the 3rd plug is still testing good. Why am I having so much trouble on a brand new Savage? I'm thinking of selling the stupid thing already.

it is entirely possible you have developed an air leak, is this a brand new truck? if so did you follow the breakin procedure correctly? I would remove the :ercm: and check all the bolts holding on the backplate at the very least, and while you have the :ercm: out consider sealing it up to prevent air leaks in the future....

Follow this step by step and your engine will run much more reliably

I did break it in according to the book, but did have issues at the first tank with the tires off the ground with it going wide open and shutting off. I called HPI and they want me to send it in to have them get it running right, or exchange the truck. My truck has so much raw power I love it, hopefully they send me a truck that isnt sucking too much air lol.
