hay guys i want to take you advise about baying the aluminum conversion set and the aluminum arms do these things will make my savy stronger and make it handle better according to its expesive value ?????
or should i stay with the plastic ons ????
 
Aluminum is not always the best option in my opinion. Especially in arms as they will bend. Aluminum is also heavy compared to the stock plastic or other materials. The aluminum will not gain you handling unless your looking at something like the FLM extended arms.

1-k5.9 - Pure junk F4.6 will smoke it !

2-3 speed tranny - good

3-high speed therd gear - good

4-high tourq metal gear servo - depends 200 oz is all you need speed is more of reason to upgrade.

5-heavy duty dog bons - HPI HD, No. HPI SHD, yes

6-universal central dog boans - huh ? stock are fine

7-stanless stele disck brakes - NO, junk

8-dirt claws tiers- many better then these.

9-1200 mah hump pack- ok

10-battary detector- ok

11-fule filter - No adds tuning issues most tanksHPI included have in-tank filters that are BETTER then after market filters.

12-heavy dutey diffs- what diffs ? the new hpi "bullet proof" then yes

13-wheely bar- yes

14-super sport suspention- never heard of it

15-aluminum tuned pipe- Depending on mill and what pipe yes

16-high performence air filter- like motor saver yes. K&N type HELL NO

shoot I think I miss read that. You have or want that stuff on the list ? I read it as you want ... If you have that stuff I apologize didn't mean to insult your truck. if your looking to buy well some of that list works well.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm why is the k5.9 a junk i have smoked some f4.6 savages with it???tell me why from your exp. what is the best engine
and do you prefair to replase the stainless brakes with the fiber ons and to remove the fule filter???? .
i like to have an aluminum bulkhead but for srry the hobby shop don't have it 🙁
ohhh also shoud i have the big bores or the stock is good

ive developed a love for alloy bulks. diffs fit in mine smooth as silk, no shims needed!

btw- add the ofna throttle mod, one of the best upgrades you can ever do!!

& lets see some pics necro :resp:

the prob. is that there is only one place for this hobby in our country and i don't know any one outside to send me some of these parts

thats what i'm talking about.. and so far i've never kill my diff with my alloy bulkhead..

btw freddy, u want me to put pics here? will do when i finish my mid tank mod.. i suppose all alloy bulkhead are quite same design, lol...
 
yup I also run the metal bulkheads and believe they are far superior to plastic unless your looking to save in the weight department but if your looking for toughness stay away from alluminum arms they hurt when they crash...lol rpm makes nice arms and matching skid plates many colors

The K5.9 is a flop. As a XL stock mill its fine. As a replacement mill no way! If you can beat a 4.6 its by luck or tuning issues on the behalf of the 4.6. Half of this site will agree with me. There are many 28s that are good I'm not a 1 motor type of guy. Red fiber brakes will out last the SS disks. The SS work sweet till you get them hot or wet. Then the paper pads rip off and leave you with no brakes. I do think the SS are good when they are in 1 piece. They just don't stay that way for long. I do suggest you remove the fuel filter. It only adds restriction that you don't need.

Like I said I thought you wanted to buy the 5.9 didnt know you had that and all the stuff on the list. I was just trying to save you money and point you to a mill that is worth its money.

thanks for advising bro will replace the brakes today also the fuel filter....
and i want to ask you one more favor...
can you tell me what is the good and bad (if it has a bad side) things of the mid tank mod and list me the parts that i need to get , from were to Purchase them
and do you suggest to repute the f4.6 instead of the k5.9

its easy to do the mid tank mod and some of the parts you would need are ofna linkages(or stock linkages bent to where you need it) servo mounts tank of your choice(largest ive seen in a savage is 250cc) rx box/mount battery box/mount. and as for a stocker mill F4.6 ftw out of all the hpi mills cuz its easy to tune and holds it very nicely.
