Aluminum Bumpers

I am new to using my savage off road. i bought it with Aluminum bumpers front and rear. but i also have the plastic ones. sounds dum, but from your experiences am i better to put the plastic ones back on. only advantage i could see with the metal ones is there higher so protect the case. but i would like to do jumps with it

the plastic ones will flex, and go back close to their orignal place, a alu bumper will just bend and stay bent. i find the plastic ones are better for bashing, because of their flexibility.

the arms that hold the bumper in place. theres two on each bumper. all four have snapped leaving half of a screw in the end. i managed to get the snapped screws out. but is there sumthing more robust i can get? i have had a look around the net but i had no luck.

find the screw size in your manual then go to ace and get a stronger grade screw. prolly aomething around an 8 standard or 10 metric.

I say drive it with the aluminum bumpers until you destroy them then use the plastic ones.

Tie them togather with a zip-tie this seems to help keep them from snapping bolts off.
