Adjustable Upper Arms.

Hey peeps,

Just had an email saying that my IRC shocks and conversion kit should be here by the weekend! get in!

Anyway, I was wondering if it makes sense for me to get some adjustable upper arms now that i'm going for different shock setups and wotnot ...

I guess they make sense either way, right?

To be honest I have never had to adjust mine or wanted to. My savage 25 has the non adjustable arms and they are still completely stock and the savage x 4.6 has the adjustable arms. I did mess around with them when I first started doing the review on the truck but never touched them since.

It is nice having that option though!

nice one ...

I must say that all these aluminium parts look nice and the rest of it but I do start to wonder sometimes just how critical some of these 'options' are ... not to mention the ever increasing weight of the truck.

And lets face it, those stock parts are made from an amazingly strong material ... you need a bit of give in the system somewhere or your just going to end up with bent aluminium parts after some hard bashing.

thanks for the info chap.

Not meaning to thread hijack but I had a question. The X SS kit comes with two types of upper arms, an adjustable set and a fixed set. No where that I can find do they say what the fixed set is, are they set for 0 degrees straight up and down?

Jammer,
The best of both worlds might be to get HPI's adjustable upper arms, #85066. They're plastic, but they have a turnbuckle between the two halves so they're easily adjustable.

Stock fixed arms are fine, but the adjustables can be kinda nice. They're pretty inexpensive, too.
