Would it make a difference that the newer roto start 2 turns in the opposite direction?

Sorry.... I mean the Nitro Start.
The newer drill/pistol grip type

I use a drill but no. If the roto start goes the wrong way all you need to do is reverse the positive and negative wires. You just take it apart and solder the wires to the motor so it goes the right way.
