A real engine roll bar and wheelie bar.

I brought home some 3/16 round stock and 1/16 plate steel from work tonite. I am playing around with the idea of making a replica Savage X roll cage out of steel and a wheelie bar with a shock to adjust the amount of rise from wheelies by increasing preload.

This is a strickly bashing project as the steel would be too heavy for anyone racing. I chose steel because I have a TIG welder at home but it doesn't have high freq so aluminium is out. We didn't have any stainless steel in the diameter I wanted so carbon steel it is.

I will post pics of the process so you can see how I make out.
