Hi all,
As a robot builder, I'm hoping to get some help from the RC community. For a robot I'm working on, I'm looking for a slipper clutch where the hub hole has a 6mm diameter so it fits my 6mm D-shaft which will directly drive the wheels.
It's very difficult to find dimensions for RC parts though. After some hours of Googling, I think (but I'm not sure) that HPI Savage X 4.6 has a 6mm slipper clutch shaft, but I would like to get confirmation and maybe some more options.
Anyone here who could confirm the diameter of the input shaft/slipper shaft?
If you know about any other models with a 6mm diameter input shaft, that would be super helpful too.
I have the impression that most input shafts in the RC world are 5mm or less in diameter. Of course I could drill out the whole of the slipper clutch hub a bit, but I would like to avoid that because it will create imbalance or wobbling if the drilled hole is even a little bit off.
Thanks a lot!
