yes it will if you have the duel slipper clutch IT WONT .. also if you have the duel slipper , its a good idea to go back to the single slipper clutch.. its better and you wont strip as many gears

how easy is it to change the slipper clutch back to the old savage 25 style? as it came with my savage x and i hear its alot better so how hard is it to do? cuz i think my clutch slips when i let off the throttle because it revs up for a second or two as if somethings slipping, so could this be whats happening?

i have a savy x with the older styler slipper i've only chewed 1 gear in a few months of owning and some sever bashing. i run a 52t but u have to get a gear with a beveled top or a raised side its hard to explain. very easy to put back to the old style. i love it very easy and only have to deal with one slipper pad. me and a buddy of mine are trying to invent a way to convert a t-max's slipper to work on the savy so it will last longer
