First off, welcome to the forum!! this is the best savage forum on the net.
Do you already have the 5.9?? If not, depending on what you want to do, there are better engines out there. As for upgrades, here is a link on savage upgrades compiled by the members here. good luck and keep us posted on those mods.

rest of the upgrades sound good except the 5.9, because i heard that mill is not all that great and a f4.6 is better. if you are looking to upgrade good mills are picco .28, lrp .28, and a mill that just came out and maybe worth looking at would be the lrp .30, this is what i might be getting soon or a picco .28.

if you got the 3 speed tranny your gonna want the hi-speed 3rd gear. other than most upgrades are a matter of personal preference.

Welcome Friend!! if you already got a 5.9, sell it and get another mill. Not saying you wouldn't like it, but there are definitely better engines out there for the same price.

No 5.9 but picco .28 question
I appreciate the advice and I am not going to get the 5.9. My next question is I am looking at the picco .28. There are two models the P3 and the newer model I have access to both which one should I get and why. Thanks again guys

They are the same mill less carb. the newer carb may be less hassle IDK never ran it much
