4.6 xss fail safe w/revers mixer

hi guys I am new to this site and have just finished building my first hpi product and have a couple of ?s for you. I have the 4.6 xss model and I just bought a duratrax fail safe and I am not sure how to hook it up with the way the mixer is connected because the mixer connects to the rec and the throttle servo conects to the mixer per the reverse instructions any help would be greatly apprecieated
