Ok guys, I've set all the needles at the recommended factory settings, now she just wont fire up. I had to lean out the idle slightly to get it running before. I want to tune it perfectly so since returning to factory settings, i'm getting nothing. Glow plug is good, brand new fuel, charged igniter. It starts straight away every time. but not now. What settings do you guys run pre-tune up? and also, is the manual's settings correct? It is the middle of summer here and very hot also

Is the idle gap set about 1 to 2mm open? Even at factory settings, I had to lean the idle a little to get it to start previously. I live along the Equator, and it's always Hot...lol! But humidity here makes Nitro Engine tuning a great learning process every run...haha!

To clarify, 'open' is when you remove your Air Filter and look down in the carb, you see a crescent gap of about 1 to 2mm.
To open the gap you would turn the idle stop screw clockwise. Do note tho, that sometimes you may have to compensate with re-adjustments to the throttle rod so the throttle servo at neutral, returns the gap without pressure on the stop screw. If not, the stop screw is pushing the carb open at the same time, the rod and putting pressure on the servo.
On a side note, counter clockwise on the idle stop screw, will turn it out, allowing the gap to be closed more.

Hope that helped?

even tho they say not to touch the idle? it appears as tho you have to. The needle settings are very tricky! the difference between the engine not even starting and revving its head out like its gonna blow up haha
