3 speed tranny wont shift

My savage 25 limited edition will not shift into 2nd, let alone third. My engine revs up high, but will never shift. it use to.

So this is what the manual says about adjusting the 2nd gear. But where is this? I know you can access the 3rd gear from outside the tranny, but i have heard you need to open up the tranny to get to the 2nd gear? i am totally lost when it comes to this.

if it used to shift and then doesnt, check your slipper nut before anything else. the nut can loosen up & tranny rpm wont get high enough to shift.

by slipper nut, you mean the slipper clutch on the spur gear, correct?
if so, this has been checked, but thanks for the info.
