3 speed settings for hot picco p3 28

hi guys,
I'm running a hot mill,picco p3 28 17/47t on a savage x, 3 speed n big joe tires.
settings for 2nd gear 2 1/2 turns in n 3rd gear 5 turns in,is this correct?

do i hav to disassemble the gear box to adjust the 2nd gear?
the manual doesnt hav set uo for 4.6 mill.
pls help...

you have to take it apart to get to the 1-2 shift. the best bet is to lock third out and adjust the tranny to get your one two shift down. after that you can set your shift for third easy using the ez access hole.

good starting point for a 3 speed is 1 1/2 turns on the 1st to 2nd shift and 5 on 3rd.

my picco p3 runs hot temp 260-290f cause really hot weather in my country.

How do you lock a gear in or out?

Tighten the set screw so that it won't be able to shift into that gear.
