2 or 3 speed trans for my racer

what is better for my racer a 2 or 3 speed trans? I'm putting a os 30 vg engine

2 speed is all you need on the track imo. I'm running K4.6, 17/47, and BP diffs and it just hits second about halfway down the straight away. It's about 60-70' feet maybe.

Agreed, no need for a 3 speed you will hardly use it if at all, i run a 2 speed with 16/49 gearing due to the massive amount of turns, it almost winds out towards the end of the straight, which is how i have it set, now if you are going to be racing every now and then and mostly bashin, then get a 3 speed imo
