Ya sand can be a pain at first but If maintained right can be alot of fun. Added maintenance time is like 5-10 min before heading to the beach and 15-20 mins after I get back. Over time parts will still wear faster running on the sand but for me its worth the fun.
The main thing I didnt like about the GH bulks is the sand that got in them. If you don't know I run 99% of the time on the beach. Granted it didnt hurt the BP diffs with the sand getting in there but I think over time it would have worn the gears. So I went ahaid and put the stock bulks back on...
BP diffs in GH bulks are to tight of a fit. You will feel the gears grinding!!! Don't do it!! Also the GH bulks do not seal up all the way so you will get dirt in them.
First off I would make sure you have a metal spurr gear as the sand will chew up plastic ones fast. Then you want to take wd40 to all your drive cups dogbones and axles before you go bashing. Make sure your airfilter is ziptied very well. Also its a good idea to run a fuel filter if you don't...
I put them in that way to protect them better.. Yes they do look better the other way but you will end up bending alot of the top bolts not to mention the piggyback will take a beating that way. Norm I wouldnt go with alum shocktowers either but to put them on this way there wasnt anough room...
There are 2 diff typres of big joes. One is wider then the other. I think the wider ones came on the truckzilla kit. I have both but don't really care for them for bashing. They look kool but for jumpin meh.
Moabs +1
Well after the mock up last night i narrowed it down to 2 ways.
1. I can put the servo under the tank but will have to move the tank up and out a bit. (wich I don't really care for)
2. I will add in a plate above the GH servo saver and mount the servo on it so it sits right next to the...
I was wondering what those were but I don't use a roto so I was stumped lol.. I like the way it has like a counter leaver effect, makes the rear of the cage were it tapers down ALOT stiffer then the stock X.
Well everyone that has hopped on vent has liked it. It works for what we want it to do.
