Spur Gear on Sav X

Tell me an easy way to get it out. So far, it looks like I have to pull the engine every time I burn it up. And, this is the gear in my truck: http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/76937/ But the hobby shop has nothing like that for the Sav X. They have a 49t, which I'm not opposed to, but...
