for that price, the Airtronics MX-Sport appeals more to me as the controls are all digital (no knobs). sure, the LCD, 10 model memory, and the ABS feature of the MX-Sport are nice, but the fact that there are no knobs makes it a winner in my book.
* i don't have the MX-Sport, but i do have the...
hey Bankrupter, not really sure what my camber is set to. i see what you're sayin though, in the pic, but it looks straight in person. i'll double check when i get the phaltlines back on again.
wanted to do a little "review" of the Integy parts i got it... let me preface this by saying that...
the thing about the cage, i want the same cages as that ebay seller sells, except his flux cage is less than adequate, in my opinion. if i can get my mitts on some of these brackets, i'd make my own nylon cage as i feel a cage out of an actual metal/alloy would bend often. the flexibility of a...
hey Allan, thanks, but i'm not entirely sure it'll be able to stand up to the abuse, what do you think? seems like common PVC pipe (lowes/home depot) would be too brittle to use for mount as i believe that's the area that takes the brunt of the load. as for plexiglass, i don't have any...
i'm looking for some brackets/mounts for a project. here's an ebay link to the type of brackets i'm looking for:

tried mcmaster-carr, but didn't find anything like that. it's basically a tube mounted to a plate. it's hard...
added a couple pics with the phaltlines. snapped an XL axle within 30 seconds of running the new wheel/tire combo. =) i guess i hit the curb *just* right. slapped on the short axles up front for now.
i order from RC Planet a lot, but if you want to save $20 on a set of tires, you may want to check this link out: http://www.tcscrawlers.com/HPI-Racing-Phaltline-Tire-140x70mm-2pcs-4886-p-17902.html
please be warned, i've recently read that the above company, not RC Planet, does not support...
the fact of the matter is that aluminum is a "soft" metal be it used in an FLM product or a NASA project. many aluminum products (RC or otherwise) are anodized, as it "hardens" the surface of the aluminum part. if nothing else, it helps with keeping the part looking new by preventing oxidation...
quick update on the Kershaw Designs Heavy Duty Slipper Spring Kit:
don't waste your time. if the inner diameter of the pieces was matched to the diameter of the drive shaft, i might have considered messing around with it. unfortunately, since they are too big for the shaft, they won't center...
curious, can i reuse my hardware (i.e. screws) with these TPVs or do i need to get something longer, that will accommodate the less thread-bite due to thicker TVP? also, what do people do about the "softness" of the parts as they "appear" to be raw aluminum.
don't do it! they are garbage! no traction because they are way too flimsy/soft and don't even think about cornering ability because it's non-existent. well, this has been my experience with them.
i have some mounted phaltlines coming. tcs had the best price again...
well, all i can say is don't even bother with Panther Mega Maxx Slicks. the sidewall is SUPER soft. don't waste your time. if you want mine, you can have them, just pay for postage. what a sorry excuse for a tire. for the price, they cold have at least some with some type of molded foam...
yeah, i was more intrigued how/why i'd be shortening the life of my ESC/motor if i pull 3/4 or limit it by adjusting the end points.
here's a scenario: family/friend/etc. wants to try your brushless truck. it'd be a lot more convenient to limit their damage potential via the radio than...
