i've not been involved in much rc stuff for the past few years because our rc group sort of disappeared lol. But I've been bashing myself in parking lots and stuff like that.
I have a Traxxas Mini Summit 540, Ofna Hyper 7, Losi Mini LST, Savage Flux and I also have a Savage flux roller...
I got a bad one. Less than 15 meters of range. Seems like everyone is happy with it, probably I got a lemon. Then I switched over to http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12181__HK_310_3_Channel_2_4ghz_FHSS_Ground_Radio.html and it has be excellent.
Got a reply back from HPI really fast, they are shipping out a free gear. Contacted the eBay seller to cancel the transaction. Everything is cool now. Thanks HPI!
This it the top most one on my Flux tranny.
Was just doing some light bashing in the dirt.
Is this the best upgrade for this gear?

another issue is I rich up the LSN a lot already, do a pinch test, it dies immediately. When I run the truck, way too much smoke, and fuels splitting out of the engine. So I'm guess it has to do with fuel pressure.
I think the issue with my idle has to do with the fuel tank. No matter how I tune it. Just give it a tiny throttle, and then press brake. The idle stays up for about 4 seconds and then starts coming down.
It's either I have a leak from the engine to the exhaust or something.
When you...
I was able to bring the idle down now. I did a pinch test and the engine died almost immediately, so I richened up the LSN. But the weird thing is that a lot of fuel are coming out from the exhaust already, but I still have to richen it up. Then I did another pinch test, this time engine dies...
Ok, I changed the needles back to stock settings and I still can't get it to idle down.
I try to bring the idle down with both idle screw and LSN but after a throttle or two, the idle goes up again.
I took a video of my truck, could this be a air leak? It glitches sometimes but the servo...
Here are the steps:
1. Full Throttle
2. Let go of throttle, the idles go down to normal.
3. After couple seconds, idle starts going up.
This sounds like a lean LSN, but I richened it a lot already and it still does that.
about half gallon into my new SH .28. Has been experiencing this issue since the beginning.
When the engine first starts, idle is good. Drive for couple seconds and come back, idle goes up. I then try to lower the idle, the ldle goes back down again, drive again, come back, idle goes up...
Can someone recommend me a good Savage Screw Kit that is not too expensive.
I bought a screw kit off ebay but it only includes metal to metal screws. No plastic to plastic screws.
Thanks. Ebay Link would be appreciated.
The thing is that I'm not looking to spend alot of money on it because I still need to spend some money on the Flywheel, clutch, clutchbell etc...
Definitely not something that's $200+. Maybe under $200 for the engine?
My Savage has been sitting there for couple months now. The weather is getting warmer. Now looking for an engine...
Here is what I know so far:
Axial .28, SH.28 8 Port, Picco .28, LRP .28
Axial and SH are pretty cheap.. Picco .28, LRP .28 will come to about $200. (In Canada, Shipping...
The only two engines that I know are in my price range are the Axial .28 and the Mach .28.
It's either going to be for my Savage or LST2.
I don't know which one to choose. Or maybe other alternatives in the price range?
I bought an used Savage 21 long time ago and I've tried everything to get it wheelied and it never did?
Why? Because the engine that it came with has no compression at all? I can't even hear it shift into second gear.
Now I have a Savage X, I can wheelie every time.
