    i got the same set up on mine savage XL and had the same problem and i did get a lock nut on the end of it but it rubed so i grind the tip of the nut withe a dremel and now works good

    well am running the stock 4 hole with 40 wt they felt good with no spacer but after taken it out 4 a ride i notice that it was 2 soft so i put the 2 big shim-es and the small 1 back into them the 1 that r on them win u buy it seems 2 help. going 2 the track Friday i will let u know how they fill

    am going 2 try a savage suspension conversion set it looks like it will make it lower i just in stalled a set of big bore they made it lower cant Waite 2 go racing with it this weekend i will let u know how it feels
