Well Basicly i'll get it going, and it goes great. Tons of power, crisp throttle responce, has plenty of smoke at top end. But then it just starts to loose power, bogs down like its either too rich or too lean. It almost seem like it's too lean, like there ain't enough fuel, but it smokes...
I can get it to start but sruggle with it, and once it's started I can get it to tune fairly well where it'll run great for a short while (maybe 10 minutes if I'm lucky) then it starts to run poorly and I can't get it to tune, and when it stalls it doesn't want to start again. So is it just me...
Well thanks for the reply. I managed to figure it after searchin google for an hour or more. You have to mount it pointing to the right, just under the manifold. You need to drill a hole in the TVP plate and remove a lil plastic from the piece above the diff the larger screw mounts into. Wroks...
Ok, I ordered a tigerdrive, part number s680 because that is what it called for for an HPI .21. But it' does not fit. It will bolt up to the motor, but will not fit into the chassis. Shouid I have ordered the S702 instead?
If I could somehow index the s680 about 45* counter clockwise from...
my trucks have to be fords, what else can I say? That's my daily in my avatar.
But I don't dislike others though. I love 3rd camaros, and like old chevy trucks.
Well since I had a roll over that caused the shock bolt to puncture the tank, I ordered up a new tank, a primmerless one. Also picked up a new fuel filter at the same time. I checked the current filter and the Oring inside (replacable element style) was kinda fudged up.
So hopefully these...
This ever happen to anyone else? The rear shock tower musta flexed forward enough that the bolt put a hole in the rear side of the tank. It's so nice it almost looks drilled :hardlaugh:
Thanks for the info guys! I just ordered up a tiger drive.
In the description it states it includes the 1way bearing, and that is sweet cause the one in the pull start just went out on me.
Thanks guys. I didn't think the rotostart shaft would work in the drill because it looks round in the pics I seen.
Dave, i have a craftsman 19.2 cordless with both reverse and clutch. Thanks for the tip.
And other than tower does anyone know a good source for those bearings? tower was the...
I have a .21 with a pull start. My arm is tired Lol plus the 1 way took a crap so I figured while it's apart for that, I'd like to put on an electric type start. I don't want the stock roto start though. Is there a setup out there that has the bit you can chuck up in a drill that will work on a...
seriously? Cause I was gettin ready to order a set of 4 of the silver ones.
I thought about CVDs but I just installed the HPI 17mm hub conversion and it's got special outer stub shafts. Ya can get the CVD with that style but I don't want to spend the $$$
I do all my own work with the only exceptions being alignments (though I can because I used to do them for a living) and oil changes. I work parts at a Ford dealer so for what the employee price is to have the oil changed in the shop, its what it would cost my just to buy the oil and filter. And...
Ya, I did catch that. it wasn't there when I first started to reply though Lol
But ya, thanks for the info. I'll take it off and run a solid line from the pipe to the tank.
No, I know the blue one is the filter, I was reffering to the silver one on the line going to the cap on the tank from the pipe. It threads apart at the black stripe.
Thanks chunky. It was wierd cause when Id submit the post, it showed in the topic but after a refesh or moving on to another...
