Hey SV, I sure hope someone can save all that Info and post it somewheres else
I am not able to log in anymore because it wont let me and i cant create a new name for some reason BUT I still go there for savage information(well except the last week its been dead)occasionally
I got one of my savages out last week to test new servos. Its was a 50 degree day here in Nort Deekoter and the snow was a melting and there were large puddles all over the yard. its fun running through puddles of water. I did go upto the muddy driveway and that id where i brake-flipped and...
my flux is run on Tekin so it would be pretty useless to buy a $20 castle-link just to use it once to set voltage on a BEC and toss it in the junk bin. I know my hobbyshop wll set it for me
cant even compare electric to nitro. 2 totally different beasts
Check out LLcoolskillets utube videos of a savage going 110+. i do believe he does his speed runs on 12s
I'm 50, my speeddemon days are long gone right along with my pocketbook.bashing and thrashing is my gig. i like breaking poop...
i haven't run my flux yet since installing the 1270 other than getting it centered and making sure my steering is set, it has an internal 6.0v BEC, was running a high voltage servo before i put the 1270 in. i just switched that one(1267) to throttle on one of my nitro savages.
If you want to run...
I have a LRP.32 in one of my trucks again( removed a Picco P3 barely broke-in). I been working on breaking it in for a couple years now...lol. I recon i have at most, a couple gals through it now and the pinch is still pretty tight. I have been doing a really moderate rolling-type breakin
interesting option for you

takes finnesse
with electric, you need to install whats called a BEC between the ESC and the servos to cut the voltage on lipos from 7 to 6 and to supply 7 to servos
nitro, you just install a LiPo pack instead of hump, and add a voltage regulator
some recievers are 7.4v ready. most arent
I put the Losi shocks on 2 of my savages, and both seemed really soft and squishy. i didnt like that very much, makes for poor handling and cornering. I think my issue was that the top of the shocks sit too far away from the upright and out of the safety zone of the body-mount so over the next...
I would venture to say you thrashed the spider gears inside the differential cup. you may only have 2 spider gears in that cup, and if thats the case, you could put the 4-gear upgrade in it
to find out what you have, you need to pull the plates off and have a looksee
Got to do a test run on a savage today.dammit, the 30Vg was runnin awesome at 50 degrees. there was lotsa standing water and snow in the yard. Plenty of mud. I like the handling of the dual shocks on each corner and that the truck isnt squishy.losi shocks are stiff, and the small aluminum ones...
29/9 =3.222
43/13= 3.307
I run mobile1 20/50 in my differentials and my gear preference is 3.30
you might try getting the newer spider gears or going to hotbodies hardened internals if your going to run such low gearing. i don't like wheelies, myself, its hard on the drivetrain.
