Actually, I got TWO of them, heh heh heh
The second one will be a straight Red Baron paint job. Anyone remember this old model car kit?
I'm working on something else right now though ... stay tuned!
Someone asked about the tires. They seem to be fine. On the other hand, I've...

Also, fwiw, the STS 30 v2 I HAD been running is now on it's way back to Tiawan. I had all the usual issues with that engine ... leaking front bearing, the one way...

Site Jester - I have been running this cluch for a couple of months now. I've run it in front of the Nitro Star .28 engine that comes with the XSS kit and a STS 30. Next I'm going to try it in front of a RB 928 - picked it up today! I've been using the same Mugen springs, too.
This next...

My STS 30 took exactly one gallon to break in.
Have you checked to see if the mechanical pinch is gone? To do this, you remove the glow plug. If you can rotate the engine by hand with the glow plug removed - NO resistance felt at Top Dead Center - the engine is fully broken in.
My engine...
Well, well, well ... looks like the newb has to step up.
I have a pair of the FLM Hybrid bulkheads in my SAVAGE. I started my build with an XSS kit. When I took the HPI easy access bulkheads apart to get the diffs out, I discovered that one of the HPI alloy diff cups was cracked in 4 places -...
These threads are always good. Here's a few of me...

I live near Eagle Rock Reservation. That is a perfect place for a memorial & they did it right. It's pretty impressive. The location is good because there is a great view of the city from there & lots of folks use the park there. There is also a very popular restaurant up there - The High Lawn...
In Totowa, NJ, I deal with CRISPY CRITTERS. Great place, owned for years & years by guys that are into R/C. They can get anything I want. Good prices, too.
Online, I've dealt with Tower Hobbies & Ultimate Hobbies. Both have been really good - no complaints at all.
:moon: Ouch! Don't be such a hater! :hardlaugh:
Wait 'till I wear out this STS engine ... my next engine is gonna be a NOVA ROSSI! Maybe two ... My LHS is going to open a nice track next spring. I'm getting an 8T to race there :whipit:
I'm also wanting a Kyosho EVOLVA REEEEEEAAAALLL...
Wow man, I wish I knew for certain. I started with everything set as per the "HPI SAVAGE 25 Update Instructions". Here's a link to the document:
SAVAGE 25 UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS
They specify that the 1-2 clutch screw should be 3 1/2 turns IN and that the 2-3 clutch screw should be 3 1/4 turns...
LMFAO - oohhh, man ... I didn't run my own SAVAGE over, HAHAHA!
Here's what happened ... the battery plug didn't fit tightly with the plug on the on/off switch. The vibrations caused by the engine just made things worse - High speed -> high vibration -> no battery power to receiver -> no...
Hmmmm ... wow ... this thread seems to be getting a little more attention, so I'll post an update ...
As I mentioned in my last post in this thread, my SAVAGE is now all fixed up - better than before, actually.
The NitroStar 4.6 that comes with the XSS kit is gone. I put a little over one...
