He means the drive cups on the transmission, they are held on by screwpins also the cups on the differentials are held on in the same way.... do you have a manual for the truck, it should be covered in there also
You can also replace that burned out motor with any motor intended for RC use.. you just have to use your brain instead of knocking your head against the wall......
Sorry to burst your bubble but that manual goof up has been there for years and years and now with HPI dying I am almost sure it will never be corrected, you can send the new owners an e mail if someone ever buys the company, but any translation from chinese to english and all the other...
Meanwhile I go to the hardware store and buy a gallon of denatured alcohol and put in my own spray bottle for 12 bux a gallon which lasts a LOOOOOOONG time
Of course there are going to be mistakes, after all it is translated from Chinese where the whole line first originated from..... They are all built on the same line as many of the R/C models are.......
I used to charge my Nicd and NiMH batteries at 4 amps, alot less danger of these types exploding and causing fires or any of that jazz......
Back in the 90's I used to charge my NICD race pack for my onroad car at 9 amps and run them hard for 4 minutes, never had a failure with those packs.....

First off get new fuel, secondly the fuels we use have oil in it for lube for the engine, the fuel evaporates and leaves congealed oil inside the lines and carburetor and it causes blockages so best thing is remove the lines and use a syringe or something to squirt denatured alcohol through them...
Denatured alcohol is safe for everything, why buy nitro cleaner that is so spendy, but yes it is safe for most things I believe, what does it say on the can ??
Yes it is true, but there are parts all over E Bay and other places so not to worry too much, I would say to stock up while there are parts around if you want to continue running the Savages...
Oil for all bearings, I remove them clean with denatured alcohol and let dry well, then put on a clean paper towel and oil the bearing until I see oil on the paper towel and then reinstall where they came out of, as for WD40 being bad for plastics that is a first for me I use it for keeping mud...
Looks Nice, but those alloy arms worry me. they will bend and not return to shape, always stay with plastic arms because they can flex and not bend, how about some body off shots also????
