But the 29t are 10x stronger, you'd be better off using. Couple of the 29t...
Sounds great JR how you been? What gearing do you recommend? Also, did you do any upgrades? So far if upgraded the steering links to the traxxas ones; just planning on running stock until something breaks.
Do it. You sll all your others alex?

see how it goes
Yeah guys, thanks that's the xs ss kit with a xs rtr lid. I got a CC MMP esc and 1410 3800kV motor for it. think I'm gonna grab a 2s 40c 5000 mah for it. they have one on Amain hobbies that got good reviews and its under $50.
Can you post a pic of the vantage upper arms? I'm assuming that they are not adjustable? I run the 6979 on my flux and love them but I have the savage x ss upper arms which adjust the camber.
looks like either set might work for you if the upper arms don't adjust (given the choice of 3 mounting...
from a personal-preference standpoint (and if you got the couple hundred burning a hole in your pocket)it does,
frif your just bashing around and the engine still runs great, then its a kind of a waste of money; the sport mills bash around great & you could spend that coin in other places.
You guys raise a lot of good points, I was always a fan of the pull start; less gear to haul, less batts to buy and charge and your session doesn't end when the roto batt dies.
that's true, but the pressure isn't enough to keep the engine from leaning out when the tank gets to 1/2. try it out and you'll see)
not sure. ive seen that debated 1,000 times over the years but to be effective, my opinion is that you would need to raise the tank even in the stock location...
yeah, the stock tank is a lousy design but even worse, it is located lower than the carb & since these models have no fuel pump and rely on gravity to get the fuel from the tank to carb, once your tank hits the 1/2 empty mark, your carb will get less fuel & more air (known as the 1/2 tank lean)...
Yeah, I could tell that the house is new, looks nice! I'm looking forward to see how the vantage cf arms work out. I've seen a few built with them over the years but never seen one actually bash with them. Now get this savage done & running (with video)!
