ive got the losi micro t, tricked up to the max, carbon fiber chassis, brushless, lipos, you name its got it, that hpi micro just don't have that edge that losi micros have, if someone wanted a micro then id say get a losi, even the basic losi micro is better
sorry hpi but your micro just aint...
I would incorporate that tractor onto a mardave chassis, all parts on a mardave are nice, simple and easy to build or add what ever shell, wheels ect you want
so far no one but me likes any of the pre painted lol, i too like to have a custom paint job on a shell, i was just wondering which of the pre painted people like,
cant get a straight answer :D
well ive bought a gt3 clear and having some pro airbrush guy shoot paint on it, I'm thinking that i should have given him a gt2 now, perhaps if wife allows me ill get gt2 done as well, never the less, do you think the pre painted shells are a bit naff ?
forgot to add, this isnt a dig at hpi
Hi all, just out of interest, I was wondering what you guys or girls think the best pre painted savage shell is
for me I prefer the gt2 blue, its not ott on the paint job and i like the shape
I'm wanting the hpi 17mm Hex Hub Conversion Set but thats just for looks, ive never had a problem with the stock nuts and wouldnt go as far to say they are trash, they have never come loose or broken on me
wow what an ordeal you went through, i really hope you have a great time bashing, after what you went through, to hell with the neighbours, its savage time :)
I know theres better ...... I'm getting the lrp .28 spec 3, it would seem its the best all round engine, plenty of beef also quite easy to tune, tho I'm sticking to the stronger 2 speed trans
the 3 speed trans seems to me weaker than the 2 speed trans, the output gears are very thin and the first gear is plastic on the 3 speed, dumping a standard 3 speed trans don't make any thing stronger or faster from what ive read on the net
interesting, as it seems to me that the most common lrp to put in a savage is the .28, ive read that .30 and .32 are not as fast on the top end, I'm buying the lrp .28 end of next week, at the moment I'm busy fitting new bearing, cups and 29t/9t diff
so my vote goes to the lrp .28
in the uk you can pick up used fluxes for around £200 and lower in some cases, which is cheap as chips, seems they are over priced in murica from what your saying
oh also spares are real cheap here too, lucky uk aye :)
forgot to say, i can see the enjoyment of a build project tho
happy savaging
is it worth converting a nitro to a brushless, money wise that is, rather than spend loads on converting a savage x id sooner just buy a used flux and tidy it up, seems pointless any other way, tho its whatever floats your boat
ive never had any use for sway bars, they restrict my suspension travel, i can only see use for them for road use..... never the less you did a great job adapting your truck to adopt that feature, maybe time you brought your savage up to date, arms, bumpers and uprights ect are cheap enough
