I recently did this with a 5.9 one way bearing. After getting frustrated trying to locate the new part, and staring at the broken one long enough....the lightbulb went off and now I have plenty of spares just waiting to be pressed in. Good info ??
Still haven’t gotten a video but managed to acquire a few bashing scars. Barely on the second tank after break in lol. This Lrp runs great. No problem getting the front end up in the air. Got that shell damage after cutting a flip from a dig. 1st gear just wheelies at will.
Upgraded...
Been following this and really hope they find a buyer.
This may be slightly off topic but has anyone heard from Fast Lane Machine? I’ve ran several of their chassis and currently can’t reach them by phone or email. I’m looking for diff and trans cases in case anyone has any FLM stuff...
Towards the end of the 6th tank of fuel on break in I opened this .32 up and wow. I’m impressed. Much better than the 5.9 and I haven’t even started tuning it yet. I still need a pipe and some different glow plugs or I would have tuned it right after break in. Nitro can be pretty fast if...
I went electric years ago and have missed nitro ever since. Hence the reason for this build. Speaking of... sorry for the delay. Had to get my hands on a 5x4x11 bushing for the spur gear. Got that Tuesday and did the break in today. Got some traveling to do this week but hopefully I can...
nice?? Ive ran across some people on YouTube who have the parts but nowhere I could just order any.
I should be testing out the sh parts this weekend. Finally got everything I need to get started on break in.
Did a gentle full rotation with the plug out before tightening everything up and after. All smooth with no binding or interference that I can tell. Other than the difference in diameter everything else matches up perfectly.
Made some progress finding a pull start setup. SH pull start for a .28 will bolt right up and function with no binding or noticeable malfunction. The pics show a spec difference I believe may be overcome with high temp gasket maker if need be.
New steel 47T spur should be here wed and I can...
X2. I don’t think any rc collection is complete without at least one savage on the shelf. I’ve had several and regret getting rid of all of them. Hence the new build. Can’t say I’ll build more than one but I can say that once it’s finished it will be kept in the stable.
I’ll definitely do that once it’s broken in and I can get some bashing done. I got a question tho regarding your nitro build. What Size spur and bell are you using. Mine currently has a 16t bell and 52T spur and absolutely zero chance of fitting in this chassis
Oh and in case anyone needs the backplate I removed, I will gladly trade it for a pullstart setup. I know a lot of the buggy and truggy guys have pull start setups laying around.
