They did have the monster buggy gasser from a few years ago, so it makes sense that they'd do it again. Plus they have the whole short course thing going down.

I know, I know, this is an HPI baja and savage site. But the largest name in rc has a new platform coming out on 11/30/11. http://traxxas.com/ check their front page. Anyone hear any rumors?
The trx. 2.5. There is smoke coming out of the motor:shocked:, not from the header. Somewhere from the block or cooling head. It doesn't seem like a good thing. Any ideas where and why this is happening?
correction, the traxxas sport traxx tires that come on the s-maxx. are a pretty hard race tire. But I don't recommend them. They're hard to find and you'll be spinning your tires trying to find grip. I've had a pair.

the rules seem pretty generic? Are you having trouble finding a...
I'm running a 4 year old AM radio it's shot. Can't run my truck until I get a RX, TX, and preferably rx pack or AA holder.
I have bad interference around here, The cheap 2.4 trx tq or hpi that come with rtrs will work.
thanks.
that might do it. try to flatten it out. Put it between to pieces of wood, and use a vice or hammer. I recommend vice because hammers often make things worse.
love the maroon. so you have some pigtail wires going to the trailer, that'd tie it together. I love when people go all out with the small details. Looks like one of those long distance tractors in Australia.
The 2.5 has GREAT top end for a tiny .15. The lo-end sucks, so I geared it way down to keep the revs up. What needs bullet proofing? The only weak point are the dinky plastic wheelhex.
I have dreams for a savXL
started as a revo 3.3. It may be an ugly build, but I'm real proud of this truck. mostly stock but I made every little detail the best I could. If i could, I'd only change a few things: new wheels and servo. It drives way better than it works. Corners flat and revs high.

sounds like you checked all the obvious places. I think something could be loose that's not even near there. Like some screws on a tvp are loose? or a dog-bone is tweaking your transmission into a weird angle.
