I am inquiring the same as you. I have axial beadlocks with big joes, and they are way out of balance, all four tires shake. Not only does it look bad it will wear out bearings and shake the whole truck loose.
Thanos check you tube there is a video explaining how to balance but is more for...
had a similar meeting with the curb bent the chassis alum bulk plate, cracked engine plate, bent lower hinge pins, broken bulkhead, damaged brake disc, and so on. 300 bucks later she is back together, and thats what happend when the throttle return spring comes off.
recently installed a set of big joe tires and find they are heavy on one end. Whats the best way to balance a set of tires. They have been belted with gorilla tape. They are way out of balance and I want to eliminate the vibration to prolong bearing life. Would sticky lead weights of 1/4 oz be...
Was having a tuning issue, and found the idle set screw had broken. Any one have an easy fix to this?
The screw broke right where the threads start, the unthreaded part was in the groove of the carb slide.
No part listing for the screw on lrp site may have to order a new carb.
well i had the same result with and without the one way valve and the pressure line on the new nipple installed on the lower front of the tank. So I'm back to square one, I had it mid tanked but just installed reverse and the stock tank back in.
I just tried a similar mod, with a nipple in the lower front of the tank, split the pressure line and put a t fitting so pressure would go to the bottom and top of tank, and a one way valve between the pipe and t, to stop fuel from going to the pipe. The result of this was too much pressure...
Play with your gearing I was running axial beadlocks with 40 series mashers and 16 49 gearing and would pop wheelies no prob. Taller tires like goliaths, use the 52 spur 16 cb, its the same as the xl tire size etc and gearing.
If you wanna go brushless just buy the flux. I have priced it and it's not worth doing the conversion. You also have to think about the added stress to your drive train and tires. You will go through those parts fast with a brushless set up.
Didn't think these were in Canada yet, but I found one at one of the hobby shops I go to. Since the pics I have relocated the recv. box to the rear for a more scale looking gas tank, and detailed the nuts and wheel hubs. I also took the ends of the shocks off and use stock savage shock ends...
Yo geronimo, those tires are made for rock crawling, and for the 40 series beadlock rim.
I Have a set of proline cheyenne wheels with the 40 moab not the xl version, and to be honest I thought they were terrible, no traction on grass or dirt or asphalt, waste of 250 if you ask me well with...
I recently grenaded the front pinion gear on my diff.... the culprit hpi! :( The diffs did not have the correct amount of shims between the diff cup and bearing, as well the crown gear and bearing. In the manual it clearly show's two shims. When I disassembled the diffs I only found one shim...
Well, I finally encountered a diff problem. Broke 2 teeth off the pinion gear. Was out running, doing a couple jumps, then I noticed when I braked I would get a horrible noise, similar to the noise I had on my t maxx, which was the plastic axels. Not long after the truck locked up, took a quick...
Larson is correct, this truck is an xl. I just recently took out the wide axles and put a set of short ones, they come on the flux. (super heavy duty axle) With the wide axles the bodies look too narrow, plus I haven't notice much of a difference in performance with the switch.
