In the picture it still had the Pontiac 350ci .040 over with TRW Pistons and 455ci Edelbrock heads. I'm currently betting ready to build a stroked FI455ci for the Bird.

Good post... I take it you build your own engines? Is it as difficult as everyone at the track says it is? Everyone I have spoke to at the track ALL recommend buying a brand new engine. A few of them have mentioned they have tried to re-build their own but in the end its cheaper just to buy a...
Whats the word... have you put it together yet.
I have asked around about re-building a Nitro engine but everyone I speak to says rebuilding is not even worth the time... When you do build them they hardly ever run right, they all say buy a new motor its cheaper.
But I wold think it would...

I added the Savage wheely bar (The single center wheel) and that gets in the way of the roto start as well... Its a PITA to reach. Would be nice if there was an extension kit that could mount a drive on the bumper and have a Dodge Bone or universal joint extend to the roto-start.

I like this idea allot... I have been looking at it and the only real obstacle would be the exhaust pipe... If we could extend far enough to clear the exhaust pipe that would be awesome! I have also thought of trying to use the same servo to work both front and back instead of using two separate...
