I am becoming a bit concerned over an order that I placed last Friday. I was unable to get the PayPal link to function properly because he has no text field for the state in which you live. So, PayPal would fail when passing the order info indicating an invalid address was provided. So, really...
Thanks for all the help guys. I really just want a dependable mill that is not incredibly difficult to tune/keep tuned until I get some more experience under my belt. So, after doing a little more research around here, I realized, for one, that I posed the second most asked question around here...
Not questioning the validity of your advice, but could you elaborate a little? The reason I ask is that the Factory Team seems to be more suitable for bashing because of the intake mods and higher HP....
Obviously, I must be missing something. Not the first time I might add.
Thanks for your help.
I am fed up with this 5.9. I can't keep the POS running long enough to even do a decent break-in, much less a tune. So, I am going to order a Picco but don't know which one. I am looking at these 2:
Ofna .28 Picco JL Team Turbo and the Ofna .28 Picco w/Pull Start
It looks like the Team Turbo...
I don't have any personal experience with them, so take my post as opinion only. But, several have told me that Integy is junk and not worth the material it is made out of. FWIW......
I did have to pull the carb and lube the o-rings to get it to idle right. I did however, make sure all of the o-rings were present though. As I said, I didn't get to run it but a few minutes after the carb work, so it may just be the pinch that is causing the heating at the moment. I plan to...
OK, which is the safer way to go here? And, if anyone else chimes in, please don't give me a third alternative. I currently have a 50% chance of doing the right thing. :lmao4:
That was kind of what I suspected, but when I looked at the "Store Locator" section on Spektrum's site and saw Ampdraw listed, I figured it was safe to order from them. A legal catch, sneaky advertising, or whatever. I took advantage of it while I could. I was merely offering the info so any...
Just a quick update, the transmitter came today via Fedex. It was well packed and must have went to the shipper the same day. I will definitely be using these folks again in the future.
The Spektrum looks awesome by the way, and can't wait to take it out for a spin.
Ok, it appears as if the consensus is to go with 20% in the 5.9. Any suggestions on the plug? Since it is going to be cold here for a while, I was thinking that going with the McCoy MC8 would be the right choice for both my 5.9 and my son's 4.6. I am now beginning to second-guess my decision...
I am using the factory plug right now. I ordered a couple of McCoy MC8, but they won't make it until Monday. I will look at some 20%. Actually, I asked RC Planet about their 30% recommendation in light of HPI's recommendation of 20% when I ordered the truck. They said go with the 30%....
I took my 5.9 XL out this morning for its initial break-in. The temp outside was about 43*F and overcast. The first 1/2 tank was HPI 30% Nitro before switching to Byron's 30% Nitro. The mill would not idle worth a crap regardless of what I tweaked. If I idled it up a lot, I could keep it running...
That gives me a bit of confidence, thanks. I have never ordered from ampdraw before. And being unable to find a lot of feedback about them, I was a little skeptical about sending them my money. I decided to take the chance and submit my order. I got an email the same evening stating the order...
I wanted to upgrade the radio on my XL so that I could put the HPI 2.4 on my son's Savage X and do away with his AM stuff. So after searching around, I stumbled on a site that has the best price I could find anywhere. Most everyone lists them for $249 and up, but I scored one for $205. They are...
I know this is an old thread, but I still felt a need to interject an opinion and perhaps some food for thought.
I have no first hand experience with Raya's service, or any other "pinching" service for that matter. However, aside from the Italian made Picco, how many of the other manufacturers...
I don't mean to jack anyone's thread here, but while we are the subject... I really like the looks of this clutch, but the manufacturer's site has very little additional info. I know this fits the savy X, but does anyone know if this will fit the XL with the 5.9 as well?
