Shaun. The cage is bent all to hell is what it is. But before it was bent I just made it myself. It's taken a few hard hits since then and is pretty twisted now
Six. That is the tire combo. Right now I'm just using the cheesy 23mm hexs that came with the wheels. Looking to upgrade those soon.
I have run the RD Logics duel pipe. It was loud, did not perform well, had to cut a slot in the shock tower for the header, and is tough to shut down if you prefer the cap the pipe. i think if you have an XL it won't work at all
thanks guys, I haven't run with the trenchers yet, but if they're anything like they are on my buddies baja, i'll be pretty happy.
It's the XL axles I'm running right now, haven't had any problems yet, but didn't know about the size difference untill a few days ago when i tried to put the XL...
I went a little overboard at a LHS that was shutting down this week, but finished pretty much everything I wanted to do to my Savage. Thought I would share it with you guys.
The main changes I've made are
FLM ext LCG TVPS,
3 speed w/ reverse
XL drive cups
tuned pipe
big bores
sway...
Na they are just the HD dog bones. I paint them orange cause I would lose them in grass when I would crash in my back yard. This way I can find then easier.
Thought I'd Share the roll cage a built. Not the sleekest, and is not necessarily square, but mainly built to protect the things i wreck the most and stuff I don't want to, like the front a arms and shocks, cooling head, tank and pipe.
attaches to 4 points on the front bulk head...
you got a pretty tall gear with lots of weight in the front, reduce the teeth on the clutch bell, or try while low on fuel, and a little lighter in the front end
Is there anywhere to by individual parts for the hpi aluminum big bores. I broke the mounts on one shock, and can't seem to find part to replace them.
are the parts for the flux big bores interchangeable. i can find pairs of those for cheaper if i have to i guess.
I just recently changed from odonnell 20% to 30% fuel, got it tuned where it seems to be running really good. The only thing now, is that a tank seems to last half as long as the 20%. is this normal, or do i have more tuning to do?
thanks
Last week my buddy and I were ripping around together and he hit my savage head on with his buggy. Seemed to do minor damage at the time, just popped 2 shocks and bent up the bumper. Since then, any time I try and run it, I have been having weird shift issues.
At first it was stuck in first...
