meh I only have two clutch shoes, if I order from that sick hobbies site I can get all of the stock 4.6 setup and 3 clutch shoes for 18 bucks so its kinda worth it to upgrade lol
So my faithful .21 ran its last tank of fuel today :(
It died with a metallic sound, so I pull the backplate off to find metal chips...
So now I ask, what should I get to replace it? I would prefer to stick to a HPI but it has to be a drop in replacement and can use my hot bodies roto start...
amazing I thought I was only over thinking when I have run into this issue with my savvy first I thought it was the tank so I replaced it with a 25 tank and it kinda helped but figured for the most part it was rookie tuning lol.
so I was doing some maintenance on my savvy 21 and realized that the midrange needle was binding, to the point of not moving. The truck still runs decently but I was thinking is there anyway to retrofit a newer carb? I would love to move to a 2 needle carb is possible.
thanks
actually I have the same story ahaha. went into the hobbyshop and wanted a x-factor but went with my savvy 21. the x factor has been a mad amount of fun, if you are hoping for a truck to be a jumper and track runner forget it. but it is super realistic, solid axles, 4 link suspension, cantilever...
got a new cam so I decided to post some better pics of my two trucks:
X-Factor received alot of attention in the past month seeing as I broke it and ordered a whole bunch of upgrades.
-Aluminum side plates
-Aluminum wheelie bar
-Aluminum rockers
-Custom aluminum front shock towers...
I noticed in your sig it started life as a 21, how hard was it to convert it to the new TVP's? I know the mounting stuff is lower. I might do it myself if its possible.
