Cen Diff Question

hey guys, I'm in the middle of trying to do this conversion. so far ive ran into a few speed bump but ive got past them, and now have the diffs apart (woot for newb fred, lol) anyways my problem ive ran into now is a question about the gaskets. i ripped both diffs apart and into pieces w/o knowing the gaskets are different. so questions are

1) does the metal gasket go to the ring gear? metal to metal on the ring gear?

2) i looked at badasz pics and it doenst look like there is even a gasket on the other side? i wrecked the gasket getting into it, but trial fit a savage diff gasket and it seemed to fit fine. do i need this gasket even or can i just not see it in badasz pics.

So other then making pretty much zero progress my projext is coming along swimmingly. Thanks in advance guys, i owe a lot to ya for the help.

i put the metal shim on the cover side and a gasket on both.
put the metal shim on the cover first then the gasket over it.

did you use hpi gaskets bad or reuse the cen one?

88, do it right and get the cen gaskets. Get yourself a pack so you have extra for when you open/inspect your diffs, change diff oil, etc. here's some links you might find helpful. i reuse them but if i happen to tear one i have extra cen gaskets. they are cheap and handy to have especially with how many sets of diffs i do lol.

hey guys i cant find a decent price for diff gaskets anywhere. off the cen site it will cost 15 to mail these little things to canada. i was wondering if anyone had any to spare could you send them my way? let me know how much you want for them and ill pay shipping as well. its gotta be cheaper then $15 when all it would take is an envelope. let me know what you guys can do, thanks.
