Hey my name is Dan and I am new to the forum! I just wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know I look forward to being a part of this forum. I hope to gain a lot of useful information here.

Well lets get the ball rolling! I have a Savage Flux... and this thing is a beast. This is my first time into this hobby in about 15 years or more. The last truck I had was a Quad Buster... the technology has come a long way hahah. Here is my question:
- The right rear (passenger side) tire spins freely without turning the rear diff at all. And under power, the truck just pushes towards that side. I didn't crash hard or do anything major so I am not sure what caused it.
-I have opened up the bottom of the truck by removing the the skid plate, and the purple plate under that to expose some of the diff. This doesnt give me too good of a view. What else can I do to trouble shoot this?

Thanks in advance!

Well I think I found the problem hahah

this is the ring gear you see right under the purple alloy plate. To get inside the Differential unit, youll need to remove the entire Diff-unit from the truck. Then it is put together with x4 screws, which will expose the insides of the diff.

I found the problem... the gears in the diff were cracked! I am trying to link to a pic but for some reason this forum won't let me do it.

Outside the diff was def just wads of grease, inside the diff seemed like a real high viscosity oil. Or it could have been grease that has broken down a bit. Is it a common thing to destroy these metal diffs?

as long as they still use a 4-spyder setup (I'm sure they do) and gearoil rather then grease, then it should have been fine?

maybe it doesnt come with the alloy case with shims which may have been some of the cause?

what batt setup are u using on the flux? its comon with the bl savages, the diffs arent designed well to handle the power.
you can either keep replacing the diff parts or go cen.

I am using two 11.1v 4000mah lipos. Looks like I will be replacing parts often! What is Cen?? Thanks

Yes it is a 4 spyder setup, with what I think was oil. The larger gear also split in half too. So it cracked two of the small spyders and the one larger gear.

Anything I can do to prevent this? Thanks

you can prevent this by replacing the stock diffs with cen diffs, they are way beefer than stock, PM Baddasz he sells them rtr.
