i have a k5.9 engine on my x and it don't do wheeles i thought it was the engine so i removed the 5.9 and installed the 4.6 and it still don't do wheeles i'v check the diffs and they are in a good cond. i checked the central dog boand and they are good i don't know what is the prob. may it be the gear box i think it need adjustment because i'v changed the super gear from 47 tooth to 52 tooth with 16 clutch bell so it shoud do wheeles easely
any one can help with this ?????

-check your slipper clutch for tightness
-check your clutch shoes and springs

seems if there was an issue with your trans or diffs you would hear that.

idk about that, unless I'm mistaken, the XL stocks a 16/52 & the 3 guys i run with that have XL's don't wheelie. think you'd have to drop down the cb to a 15 or less

my XL has never wheelied and yes stock is 16/52
52/13= 4 Low End Power / Hill Climbing

52/15= 3.46

52/18= 2.88

49/13= 3.76

49/15= 3.26

49/18= 2.72

47/13= 3.61

47/15= 3.13

47/18= 2.61 Top End Power / SPEED

pretty much lower the number = more speed no wheelies

Both of my trucks are geared for speed and my picco will not keep the wheels on the ground. I'm talking their geared at 47/18. My 4.6ho would wheelie if i didnt have it set to the ground now it just smokes the tires and flat out gets it with the same gear. Kinda sounds to me that motor dose not have low end power. But i don't know i have never ran the motor

i've checked the slipper clutch and the clutch shoes and they are in a good condition...............
btw when i pull the car from the ground and do a full throttele it reaches a top speed easy but on the ground no wheelies and no top speed may it be the clutch bell and if should i putt an 14 tooth cb or 13

is ur tranny shifting through all the gears? make sure ur not shifting too early.also check your clutch springs or go to a 1.0 spring if possible 15/49 should wheelie pretty easy especially with a 5.9.

Sounds like you may need to retune a little. When the truck is on the ground there is a load on the engine. If its not tuned correctly it wil not get up to speed.

You will lose some top end if you go with the smaller CB.

Hope this helps

You said you checked the slipper and it looks good, But didn't say its tight. Also 2 speed or 3? 3 is more apt to wheelie but not needed.

The 5.9 I had for a short time running 16/47 on the 2 speed in a X length chassis did wheelie running big joes. But that's all it would do. I could next to out run the thing so I unloaded the mill. I was very disappointed with it but I have high quality .28's to base off so most mills over .28 disappoint me. Displacement is a RPM killer..

yes it wase slipper the i've cheeked again and it looks too glossy so i changed it and it works good this time 😀..........
thnx guys again for the help
