So i bent the heck out of my XL TVPs. I decided it was time for some FLM extended TVPs and a midtank... all the parts are pretty standard FLM midtank build... except for the radio box is the water tight unit from a Traxxas Slash, and i mounted a HPI radio box from a MT2 on the side where the stock tank would go...

here are some pics..

I like it Nick, nice build:jamout:

you can dress her up by getting a bunch of blk. cloth wire loom
to hide and protect your wires

Looks great. On the radio box logo you could take a dremel and grind the letter down.

Is the overall length the same? Did your body mounts end up in the same location (i.e. stock XL body still fit without making new holes)?

I've been thinking about mid-tank also.. Those TVP's look beefy.

I'm likin' the look of the trxxs rx box. i used the rpm (like most of us) & that traxxas box has a much more appealing cut to it.
.
Also, now you're set up for an easy change if you decide to upgrade to the 250cc tank.

No the FLM TVPs are 0.700" shorter than the stock XL TVPs

I haven't tried any bodies yet. gives me a reason to paint up a new body.... lol

sunk you may have brake issues. if so bend the brake arm for the added throw.

Very nice build Sunk. I love it. Very clean, the Slash box is a great addition. Most have been using the RPM RC10GT box but the slash one looks to have more room and better yet it waterproof. Great ideas.

i wanted a radio box that was sealed, when the futaba reciever for the FASST radios is 80bucks a pop...
